Tasks
creating forecasts regarding key financial indicators (cashflow, revenues, costs, profit)
identifying, escalating, and managing financial risks for the company (e.g.payment bottlenecks, revenue decline, profit decrease)
preparing reports and statements that show the company’s financial condition, both on your own initiative and as assigned by the management board, such as monthly analyses of key financial indicators (revenue, costs, profit, cost rates, and revenue rates)
preparing and monitoring the use of the company’s departmental budgets
close cooperation with the accounting and HR team team as well as the Office as a direct supervisor – leaves, preparation of feedback, decisions on promotions, development paths and salary levels (the team consists of 8 people)
coordinating tasks performed within the team, focusing on finding improvements
identifying financial inefficiencies across all areas of the company’s operations (e.g., unprofitable projects, sudden cost increases)
making strategic financial decisions together with the management and other department heads (e.g. undertaking a new project, investing in a new department, brand, or new company policies)
coordinating and ensuring high-quality tax and legal reporting, including cyclical ones (including all reports required from Miquido, for example, to various institutions such as the Tax Office, Central Statistical Office, National Court Register, National Bank of Poland, and others required by law)
tracking changes in tax law and implementing them together with the team (e.g. new tax burdens, reliefs, tax inquiries)
assistance in preparing applications for funding
supporting debt collection activities when standard procedures do not yield results
engaging in negotiations of cooperation terms with banks
optimization of accounting and HR processes, for example, more efficient document flow (reducing the number of people involved in document handling, electronic signature of documents, or their automatic completion)
staying up to date with industry news and continually implementing modern methodologies and approaches (electronic document flow, new tools for more efficient work at the company level related to finances, such as timesheets or others)
demonstrating high initiative in the above tasks and ability to complete tasks on time (execution/planning/implementation skills)
Must have
university degree in finance, accounting, economics
knowledge of tax and financial law in Poland
excellent knowledge of controlling, financial accounting, and management accounting principles
at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably in the IT industry
experience in team management and employee motivation
creativity, initiative, and willingness to seek new solutions
analytical skills, focus on optimization
proficient knowledge of spreadsheets
familiarity with tools such as Enova, PowerBI, and Looker Studio is welcome
highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
independence and decisiveness
ability to cooperate with multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks
knowledge of the English language at C1 level
